Originally, gypsum products, for example, Gypsum Plaster (Gypsum Powder), Plasterboard, Gypsum Block (Precast), Gypsum Ceiling Tile, Spray Gypsum, Gypsum mortar and Decoratives, etc, are used as a main building material (interior material) all over the Gulf countries as well as Western countries such as U.S.A, Canada and Germany.

What is more, egypt would be the only country among the area that outputs quality natural gypsum (dihydrous gypsum) for building material. Therefore, the domestic gypsum industry has an obvious advantage in producing and supplying stably gypsum products for building material at lower cost in the long term.

In recent years, housing construction is in a rush especially in the metropolitan areas and those suburbs, supported by increase of younger generation and economic growth.
